Who is Chi Medical Aesthetics

My name is Linda Lafrance. I’ve been a nurse practitioner for many years with experience working in different settings until I found my niche in Medical Aesthetics. I obtained my medical certification in Medical Aesthetics through the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine in November 2020. This specialty included platelet rich plasma for facials, hair restoration, micro-needling for mesotherapy, neurotoxin and filler training, in depth facial anatomy, aesthetic dermatology and energy based devices and laser treatments and sclerotherapy. I am a firm believer in ongoing learning and self improvement.

In my spare time I am an avid endurance athlete with many years of physical endurance training and races. My physical training tires out my body allowing me to focus better on my passions. I am also a trained Hypnotist and Neurolinguistic Programming Master and provide private sessions to help guide people who want to make positive changes in their lives.

My philosophy regarding beauty is that it comes from the inside out. That implies that when we are physically healthy and we have confidence in ourselves, we project our most beautiful selves. That is not to say that we can’t improve on our outer appearance.

In essence, when we are younger we generally only need to enhance our prominent features, however as we advance in years, we start needing to replace lost volume in order to reverse the signs of aging. We can’t make a 50 year old person look like they’re 20, and you wouldn’t want that. Right? But, with the help of appropriate aesthetic treatment modalities we can certainly make you look like the best version of who you are.

This blog will discuss some of the many aesthetic treatment protocols that are used in aesthetic medicine to help improve on our outer projections. It will also draw out an approach to beauty from a health and fitness perspective. It goes without saying that if we get enough sleep, eat healthy, exercise and don’t smoke, our skin will look healthier and younger. Our outlook on life will also be more optimistic.
